Chris Sheridan - Founder and Director

Chris (they/them) is an award-winning accredited Psychotherapist, Relationship Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Sexologist and DEI Consultant. They are the Founder and Managing Director of The Queer Therapist, a UK based online therapy service providing GSRD (gender, sexuality, relationship diversity) therapy and neurodivergent affirming therapy. They are also the Lead Psychotherapist at Voda.co, the LGBTQIA mental health app. They work to challenge stigma and shame around gender diversity and neurodivergence.

Chris is an accredited member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), an Accredited Professional Member of National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), an Advanced Accredited Therapist with Pink Therapy, a member of The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the European Professional Association for Transgender Health (EPATH), the Gendered Intelligence Network for Therapists and Counsellors and a Registered Member of College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

Cat Sheridan (she/her) - Business Development Manager

Cat is a Welsh, queer, neurodivergent producer and project manager based in Scotland. As a Co-Founder and Business Development Manager of The Queer Therapist, Cat manages communication, partnerships and operations. She is incredibly passionate about equitable access to queer mental health and her background incorporates business development, fundraising and health and wellbeing across independent and third sector organisations.

Alongside Cat’s work for The Queer Therapist, she works as Senior Producer for Unlimited and Head of Inclusive Practice at Battersea Arts Centre. Cat’s commitment to equitable inclusion can be seen across her work from her role as part of The Federation of Scottish Theatre EDI strategy group, to being one of fifty cultural leaders selected from across the UK to be part of Clore’s inclusive leadership programme.
