Seeking therapy?

Whether you are looking to have just a few sessions to think about a specific issue or situation, or would like to consider longer-term therapy, I welcome anyone who feels that psychotherapy or sex and relationship therapy may be of help. I work with people across the UK and in some cases with clients in Europe. If you’re unsure if I can work with you, please email to find out.

Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity

Issues related to gender, sexuality, relationships is an area of therapy I have particular interest and expertise in. Gender, sexuality and relationship diversity are complex issues that can result in feelings of shame, internalised conflicts, dysphoria/incongruence, if we are not equipped with the insight and awareness to understand ourselves within our contexts. As someone who identifies as non binary, I am well versed in the daily conflicts and struggles that can arise as being part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am a GSRD (gender, sex, relationship diversity) specialist and an Advanced Accredited Clinical Associate of Pink Therapy. I can offer an understanding, trauma-informed, affirming space to explore facets of your gender, sexuality and relationship structure that may be causing you difficulties. Whether you are looking to have just a few sessions or would like to consider longer-term therapy, I welcome anyone who feels that psychotherapy may be of help.

Neurodivergence

There is evidence suggesting a higher prevalence of neurodivergence among queer people compared to the general population. As a neurodivergent practitioner, I understand that autism, ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence can affect us in ways that traditional therapy may not fully recognise. Challenges with social skills, managing emotions, and thinking skills can impact our ability to focus, stay organised, and practice self-discipline. These challenges can also lead to anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. While medication is often used to treat ADHD, neuro-affirming therapy and coaching have been found to be very helpful. I approach therapy from an anti-ableist perspective and welcome different ways of working. Whether you want a few sessions to understand how your neurodivergence affects your mental health, or you're considering long-term therapy, I welcome anyone who believes therapy could be beneficial.

Sex and Relationship Therapy

Sex and relationship therapy is a specialist therapy focused on addressing issues related to sexual health and interpersonal relationships. Whether you're facing challenges in your sexual life, navigating the complexities of relationships, or seeking to build intimacy, my practice uniquely incorporates perspectives on diverse experiences, including being trans and its impact on intimacy, understanding neurodivergence in relational contexts, and navigating the nuances of ethically non-monogamous relationships.

Here's what you can expect from our therapy:

  1. Understanding and Addressing Sexual Concerns: I work with sexual health difficulties including vaginismus, low desire, asexuality, premature ejaculation, delayed ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, orgasm difficulties, painful intercourse, compulsive sexual behaviour, sexually transmitted infections and more.

  2. Exploring Identity and Intimacy: Our therapy sessions offer a safe space to explore and understand your sexual identity and how it impacts your relationships.

What to expect

In our first online session, we'll talk about why you want therapy and what we'll focus on. This session is also a chance for you to decide if we're a good match and to tell me how you prefer to work. Choosing to get therapy isn't always easy. It's important to find a therapist who feels right for you, someone you're comfortable with. I use a mix of different perspectives and theories in my practice, adapting to your needs. The main types I use are psychodynamic therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy and sex and relationship therapy.
