Sex and Relationship Therapy

Seeking therapy?

Choosing to have sex and relationship therapy can be a daunting process however research shows the earlier you can address and tackle issues together in a constructive way, the stronger your relationships will be. Whether you are looking to have just a few sessions to think about a specific issue or would like to consider longer-term therapy, I welcome all who feel that sex and relationship therapy may be of help.

Sex and Relationship Therapy

Sex and relationship therapy is a specialist therapy focused on addressing issues related to sexual health and interpersonal relationships. Whether you're facing challenges in your sexual life, navigating the complexities of relationships, or seeking to build intimacy, my practice uniquely incorporates perspectives on diverse experiences, including being trans and its impact on intimacy, understanding neurodivergence in relational contexts, and navigating the nuances of ethically non-monogamous relationships.

Here's what you can expect from our therapy:

  1. Understanding and Addressing Sexual Concerns: I work with sexual health difficulties including vaginismus, low desire, asexuality, premature ejaculation, delayed ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, orgasm difficulties, painful intercourse, compulsive sexual behaviour, sexually transmitted infections and more.

  2. Navigating Relationship Dynamics: Relationships can be complex. I provide insights and tools to manage conflicts, improve communication, and deepen emotional connections. Whether it's about resolving conflicts, rebuilding trust, or exploring new dimensions of your relationship, we're here to guide you.

  3. Exploring Identity and Intimacy: Our therapy sessions offer a safe space to explore and understand your sexual identity and how it impacts your relationships.

What to expect

In our first online session, we'll talk about why you want therapy and what we'll focus on. This session is also a chance for you to decide if we're a good match and to tell me how you prefer to work. Choosing to get therapy isn't always easy. It's important to find a therapist who feels right for you, someone you're comfortable with. I use a mix of different perspectives and theories in my practice, adapting to your needs. The main types I practice are psychodynamic therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy and sex and relationship therapy.
